This page contains a list of all current UFC title holders.  In time we intend on offering a full bio for each champion that includes fight history, stats and more.  But we felt at least covering the fighters that hold the current title was a good place to start.

Heavyweight Champion (Up to 265 pounds) Stipe Miocic

Stipe Miočić is a 34-year-old Firefighter from Cleveland, Ohio who won his first 5 professional fights by knockout. He fights out of Strong Style Fight Team and has become known for his calm temperament and ability to strike effectively moving backward, at odd angles. Miočić was an NCAA division 1 wrestler, has incredible submission defense, and won the Cleveland Golden Gloves boxing tournament.

Light heavyweight Champion (205) Daniel Cormier

Daniel Cormier is former Olympic wrestler and full time Fox Sports analyst. He fights out of American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose, California and sports an 19-1 professional record with his only loss coming from the infamous Jon Jones. Cormier has technical striking and a relentless wrestling style that he brings to Octagon. He’s a smart fighter and does what he needs to get the win, even if that requires him to grind out 5-round decision.

Middleweight Champion (185) Michael Bisping

Michael Bisping is a technical striker and has been admired for this incredible mental toughness and cardiovascular fitness. Winner of The Ultimate Fighter Season 3, Bisping gained notoriety through the reality show by being the first English fighter to win the tournament. He has recent notable wins over fighters like Dan Henderson and Anderson Silva.

Welterweight Champion (170) Tyron Woodley

Tyron Woodley is one of the most explosive fighters to ever compete in the UFC. He was an NCAA Division 1 2-time All-American wrestler and Big 12 conference champion. He holds a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu brown belt under the revered Ricardo Liborio and combat sports analysts say that he might have the best straight right hand in all of combat sports. He’s a smart fighter who tends to the let the fight come to him on the outside which allows him the distance he needs to set up a lightning fast right hand counter, or to step under and take the fight to the ground.

Lightweight Champion (155) Conor McGregor

The highest paid and most iconic fighter on the UFC Roster. Conor McGregor is on the road to becoming the greatest MMA fighter to ever live. The 28-year-old Irishman has become known for the disastrous power that he wields in his left hand. He fights with pressure but remains primarily a counter boxer in his offense, waiting for his opponents to over extend with their right hands to connect with a precise left hand counter. The first fighter in UFC history to ever hold two belts at once and compete in three different weight classes.

Featherweight Champion (145) Jose Aldo

Although marred with controversy after his loss to Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor, Jose Aldo is one of the most devastating strikers in MMA history. Known for the overwhelming power in his leg kicks and overall versatility in the Octagon. Aldo is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt and has reigned as the UFC Featherweight Champion since 2010, defending his belt 7 times before being dethroned by Conor McGregor. McGregor went on to win the Lightweight Championship, at which point the featherweight belt was stripped from him andreturned to Jose Aldo.

Featherweight Champion (145) Max Holloway

Max “Blessed” Holloway is currently on an 11-fight winning streak with 8 of those wins coming by either KO or submission. He is the first American-born champion of the featherweight division in the UFC and is currently tied for the most KO/TKO wins at Featherweight. Holloway trains at Gracie Technics in Waianae, Hawaii under Rylan Lizares and Ivan Flores and sports a well-balanced and well-timed fighting strategy when he is in the cage. Fighters typically have a hard time catching him because of his movement and then once he has learned their timing he starts to pick them apart. His grappling techniques are top notch despite only having a purple belt but it’s his striking that makes him really effective.

Bantamweight Champion (135) Cody Garbrandt

The newest Champion on this list, Cody Garbrandt is also one of the youngest. at 25-years-old, Cody has amassed a perfect 11-0 record with 9 knockouts after a recent dominant win over the previous bantamweight kingpin Dominick Cruz. Before the UFC, he was an ABA Junior Boxing Champion and an Ohio State wrestling state champion. Early on in his professional career he decided to move from Ohio to join Team Alpha Male in Sacramento, California. It was with Team Alpha Male that he made his UFC debut and ultimately won the championship.

Flyweight Champion (125) Demetrious Johnson

Also known as “Mighty Mouse”, Demetrious Johnson is often considered by the other champions of the sport to be one of the pound for pound greatest fighters in living history. He’s known for having outstanding technique in every aspect of MMA and a combative intelligence that’s unlike anything we have ever seen. He won the inaugural flyweight championship and has since defended his belt 10 times and with that, tied the all-time record in the UFC for most consecutive title defenses.

Women’s Bantamweight Champion (135) Amanda Nunes

Amanda Nunes is a 28-year-old Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Blackbelt who has won nearly all her fights in the first round, including her recent devastating win over former champion Ronda Rousey. Originally from Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, she now resides in Coconut Creek, Florida and trains at the world renown American Top Team. Nunes also holds a brown belt in Judo and has competed internationally in grappling, winning the gold at prestigious tournaments like the Pan American Championships and the Mundials. Although she is an accomplished grappler, what makes her scary as a fighter is her ferocious punching power and mercilessly aggressive style.

Women’s Strawweight Champion (115) Joanna Jędrzejczyk

Joanna Jędrzejczyk is widely hailed as the most vicious female striker on the face of the Earth. She is a 29-year-old multiple time Kickboxing and Muay Thai World Champion from Olsztyn, Poland who now resides in Coconut Creek, Florida. She recently moved to American Top Team with head coach Mike Brown to better acclimate to her sprawl and brawl style of fighting. She has a perfect 14-0 professional MMA record and an impressive 82% takedown defense rate. She is known to pick her opponent’s apart with striking while pinning them against the cage before she unleashes her lightning fast punch flurries to end her fights.
